This can be useful on servers using the tradeposts mod, so players can see which claim has a trading post set up that might be worth visiting. Same as outposts and with their own permission flag comes the trading post icon. If you don’t want to display outposts on the map, you can take away this permission from the visitor group any time. “View outposts” is a new permission that is assignable to groups and is activated by default. GV is definitely still a grind, just not as brutal.I’m happy to announce a new LiF:YO Livemap update that is stuffed with new cool features and enhancements. GV is much easier to get into than LiF and less of a grind. There is no player housing in GV and they are rolling out guild control (it's mostly faction control now) of castles slowly but surely. Their netcode is a mess (they "update" it regularly and it's still shit).in GV you update existing fortifications.

The pvp is fun when there are people around but the server cap is 100ish and it has a low pop so there are rarely full servers.Gloria Victis is more forgiving than LiF in every possible way, but I quit playing it because the combat sucks and I don't like the way it runs. The map has about 30 flags on it you can cap for your faction which give you bonuses It's a pvp centric game but does have pve content. Gloria Victis is an extended game of capture the flag. I like the pvp in GV but I hate the combat animations and movement controller. There is more potential for real and enjoyable action in Gloria Victis because it's less risky and the penalty for death is much less. In LiF you guild can build a trade post anywhere on the map.
GV has an auction House in the main city. Friendly fire is not on in GV so there's less having to be super careful. GV gas good skirmishes and seiges when you can find a group who wants to do it. Also friendly fire is always on so you can't go into a fight and swing willy nilly at whatever you want. Doing pvp in life is Feudal is inherently risky as it's full loot and you lose hard earned skill points on death.

It's designed around crafting, free building anywhere on the map and short deadly pvp fights. In LiF You have to slog through mud and haul logs and crafting thousands of nails or whatever your specialty is. You will not be able to make everything for yourself. You will not be able to level up your combat specialties without other players because you level up on specific weapons which take ingredients from multiple crafts to make. Crafting is rewarding because your materials are needed in many different crafts. It is built around guilds setting up bases together.
